ST. JOSEPH'S CONVENT GIRLS' SR. SEC SCHOOL JABALPUR

St. Joseph’s Convent was founded in 1873 by the Indian Province of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Chambery as per provisions of the Constitution of India Part III Article 30 (i). It is administered by the Sisters of St. Joseph’s Convent, Jabalpur in accordance with the general rules governing the above Congregation. It is an English Medium Senior Secondary School for girls affiliated to the CBSE, New Delhi. It conducts classes from the Nursery to the Senior Secondary Level.

The School is lovingly dedicated to St. Joseph, the foster father of Jesus Christ with its motto, “Virtue Alone Ennobles”. The values attributed to our Patron Saint are humility, sympathy, love, tolerance, integrity and fortitude and our students are expected to develop these values and conform to high disciplinary standards.

The year 2023 marked the Sesquicentennial land mark in the history of the School – the 150th anniversary of the establishment of St. Joseph’s Convent Girls’ S. S. School, Jabalpur.

From humble beginnings to a fully computerized institution, St. Joseph’s has come a long way and is well equipped to face the challenges of the Digital Age of teaching and learning. As we enter a new epoch in our history we acknowledge with gratitude the rich heritage handed down by our predecessors and pay our respects to our Pioneer Sisters whose untiring activity, devotedness and dedication, progress and expansion have moulded generations of young minds and built careers for them. May we further their role in educating our girls to be the foundation of a strong India, physically, morally and spiritually.
